Event Details

S.T.E.M. Academy for Cub Scouts - Technology
Saturday, May 9, 2020
Virtual Event; Zoom invitation will be sent out day before event
1-5 p.m.
No Cost to attend
Limited to 25 Cub Scouts; grades 2-4

This event will be held virtual via Zoom!  We will send out the Zoom invitation and link details the day before the event.  It would be best to have a PC or laptop for this event, but you can participate with your cell phone.  Cell phone participation will be difficult.

Due to a generous grant from “Valero Benefit for Children”, we are excited to announce our  S.T.E.M. Academy.

This is the first of four academies that will be held during 2020.

All academies are different, have cool videos, fun activities and interactive learning.

Technology will be the area of study at this first academy.

We will explore what technology is and how it affects your daily life.

TECH TALK - is learning about cameras, virtual reality, airplanes, forensics and movie making.

CUBS CAN CODE - is learning about computers; how they work and creating an algorithm.

There is not a charge to attend this academy but you must register for proper planning.  We are limited to 25 Cub Scouts but be sure to add your name to the waitlist (if applicable) just in case.  Due to the nature of the adventures, Cub Scouts must currently be in grades 2-4.

Registration is open until April 26, 2020.

Question please contact Rob Groebner.
