$15 per Cub Scout and $10 per Adult

Mark your calendar and make plans to attend the annual Penguin Race happening in Austin on February 14, 2026.  The Hormel Nature Center is the perfect spot for fun winter activities.

If there is snow, then cross country skiing will be the mode of travel for all throughout the nature center's grounds.  If there is no snow, then a winter hike it will be!

Snacks and hot winter appropriate liquids will be provided.

Check in begins at 12:30pm with opening ceremony at 12:45pm.  Activities will last from 1-4pm.  Activities include cross country skiing,  winter skills, planetarium show, Penguin games/activities, the Hormel Nature Center activity area, crafts, snacks and so much more!

The planning committee for Penguins is encouraging units to make it day!  Visit the SPAM museum and grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants in the Austin area!

Registration is open until Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
