MAD BOBBER FISHING CONTEST

  • Wheel House, Portable Shelter or Open-Air Fishing Pre-drilled Mad Zone areas available for use by ticketed contestants
  • 25 Fishing Prizes / 25 Door Prizes / 50 Total Prizes Entry
  • $20 / $5 under 15

The contest is scheduled for February 2, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m. on Madison Lake, near the town of Madison Lake, MN at the North Shore public access. A horn will sound at the beginning and end of the contest.

Contestants are allowed to fish the entire lake of Madison Lake and you may fish from your portable shelter, wheel house or open air. All fish must be caught by hook and line. No spears will be allowed. Three weigh areas will be located throughout the lake and will be identified by Mad Bobber Flags and signage. An information sheet and map will be available at access areas.

Five categories of fish will be eligible for prizes: (1) Walleye; (2) Bass (Largemouth/White bass) (3) Northern (minimum size 24”); (4) Panfish (Crappie (Black/White), Yellow Perch, Bluegill, (5) Bonus category (Bigmouth Buffalo, Bullhead (Black/Yellow), Channel Catfish, White Sucker. The top 5 place prizes in each category, are determined by (1) heaviest weight and (2) time of entry. In the event of a tie, the first fish registered takes priority. Any legal-size fish on the list is eligible for entry. 3. Each person will be allowed to fish two lines per ticket, two lines maximum per MN DNR regulations.
