Event Details

Cuyuna Family Experience
June 30 - July 3, 2021
Cuyuna Scout Camp Cross Lake, MN
$65 per person

There aren't many places you can go on a family vacation for $65 per person; have your food provided, your entertainment provided, and view some of the prettiest outdoors in the state.  This is one time something that "sounds to good to be true" is actually true!  It's called the Cuyuna Family Experience.

Your experience begins Wednesday, June 30, 2021, with your family arriving at camp between 1-5:30pm.  Please eat before arriving at camp.  Dinner is served at 6pm followed by a campfire program.

Wake up Thursday morning to breakfast prepared for you.  Your morning will be spent climbing and rappelling at the tower,  learning about fire building & campfire cooking and activities at Scoutcraft.   Following a tasty lunch, head to the swimming and boating activities followed by the Rifle/BB Gun (age restrictions apply) and Archery ranges.  In the evening enjoy some down time, test your luck with a fishing lure or play a great match of beach volleyball.

Friday brings an entire new list of things to do.  Following breakfast, you will work on S.T.E.M. programs at the Nature area and then build your confidence with COPE initiative games.  We'll serve you lunch, then send you off to learn basketry, leatherworking and carving skills.  When you're done with that head over to the beach for more swimming or boating.  After your camp supper enjoy free time or participate life size Chess, Foosball or GaGa Ball at the Cuyuna Outdoor Arcade.

Saturday morning, July 3, 2021,  we'll send you on your way home after breaking camp and feeding you.

If you are not one who enjoys sleeping in a tent, bring your RV or popup camper and stay at family camp for no additional cost!  Another option would be to rent one of our 4 cabins at family camp for an additional $75 per night.  Just bring your own towels and bedding.

The Cuyuna Family Experience is fun for the entire family.  The experience is designed for family members to enjoy camp and do activities together.  For Aquatic activities, a swim test is required.  For the Shooting Range activities, those ages 6-11 will shoot BB Guns and those over age 11 can shoot .22's.  Parents must give written permission for children under age 18 to shoot firearms or BB Guns.  Unfortunately, those under age 6 cannot shoot BB Guns but will experience the archery range without limitations.

To reserve your spot at family camp for your RV or camper, please contact Shelley at the Center for Scouting at 507-387-3123 or shelley.corry@scouting.org.  Space is limited so reserve your spot early.

With only 4 cabins, please make your reservations early by https://campreservation.com/283/Camps/266.
