Building a Culture of Youth Leadership in Scouts BSA Troops - Rich Greiner, Jr.
June 16, 2026
A truly youth-led troop doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through shared vision, intentional mentoring, and strong collaboration between youth and adults. This interactive session explores how to develop confident youth leaders through training and coaching, create an effective Patrol Leaders’ Council that drives planning and decisions, and define the Scoutmaster–Senior Patrol Leader relationship to guide without taking over. We’ll also cover aligning adult leaders and engaging parents so the entire troop supports youth leadership. Participants will leave with practical strategies, tools, and resources to better train, trust, and empower Scouts while maintaining the right balance of guidance, safety, and accountability.
This class is free to attend but you must register to receive sign in details.
