This training is the BEST training for any adult in Cub Scouting; it's really that simple.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation or BALOO, will help you gain the skills needed to confidently venture into the great outdoors with your Cub Scouts.  Camping puts the "outing" in Scouting and learning the skills needed to hold awesome campouts is a must.

Check-in begins at 9am on Saturday, April 27th, at Norseland Scout Camp.  Over the next 24 hours you will learn about

• Campout Planning           
• Campsite Selection               
• Cooking & Sanitation         
• Duty to God     
• First Aid                     
• Gear Selection                   
• GPS & Cub Scouts               
• Health & Safety

• Large Group Games  Nature/Hiking                   
• Outdoor Ceremonies           
• Outdoor Ethics                   
• Stoves, Lanterns & Fires

And of course, how to have fun!

All participants will take part in a camp overnight on Saturday as part of this training. Everyone is responsible for their own camping gear.  Meals will be furnished (Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast).

All participants must complete the online module as a pre-requisite for this course.  This can be found in the catalog on your my.scouting page under the BSA Learn Center.

Each person on property must have a Health Form Parts A/B
