Aviation Merit Badge

No cost to attend but class size is limited to 20 Scouts

Northern Star Council Southland (formerly known as Twin Valley) is  excited to partner with North Star Aviation for the opportunity to earn the Aviation Merit Badge.

Class will be held at North Star Aviation located at the Mankato Airport 3030 Airport Drive in Mankato.  Class begins at 9am and will be completed by 2pm.  

Please bring your own lunch and water bottle.

There will be a limited opportunity for Young Eagle flights.  These flights require a separate registration.  Registering for the merit badge does not offer you a chance at a flight.

All participants need to bring a positive attitude and patience to this class.  Parents do not need to attend but it would be a great opportunity to observe and ask questions.

For this class to happen, we need to Scouting America registered adults to attend as 2 deep leadership and act as the merit badge counselors.

Registration deadline is April 4, 2026.
