As decades of Cub Scouting have shown, youth love to shoot! It's one of their favorite memories.
At the Range and Target Activity Day, the kids will learn some history about the sports, they will be taught safety and proper handling of the BB guns, bows, arrows and sling shots, and they will learn the proper shooting stances and finger positions all by certified Range Officers.
Once they learn the safety techniques, they will have ample time to practice target shooting. Note: Due to National Scouting America policy, youth in kindergarten will not be able to participate at the BB Gun range but will have an alternate activity. They will, however, participate at the sling shot and archery ranges.
Every participant must have a parent attend with them (one parent per family) and even though the adults are free, they still must register. Each shooter must also have a parent permission form submitted at the event. Each person on property, new born - adult, must have a Health Form parts AB submitted.
This event is the identical program regardless of location, so please choose the location that works best into your schedule.
