Introduction To Outdoor Leader Skills

Join us for the in-person outdoor skills training needed by all scoutmasters and assistant scoutmasters to, in combination with the on-line training, be fully “Trained” in their position.  The course will follow and expand upon the Boy Scouts of America national curriculum. 

Friday, May 5, 2023, at 6:00 pm and Saturday May 6, 2023, at Camp Norseland.  Cost is $40 which includes 3 meals on Saturday, program materials and camping fees.

Attendees will be camping outside overnight on Friday, May 5th as part of the training and are invited to stay overnight Saturday May 6th upon conclusion of the class if they wish.  Attendees should have supper on their own prior to their arrival on Friday.

Primary Instructors for the course are current & former scoutmasters Chris Sandquist (Troop 76), Tony Dittrich (Troop 25), and Doug Boomgarden (Troop 89).

Attendees should plan to bring a personal tent to use Friday night together with their personal gear, including personal mess kits.  Each participant must have with them a BSA Health Form A/B.
