MID-IOWA COUNCIL RAILROAD CAMPOREE

The Mid-Iowa Council is excited to present the Railroad Merit Badge Camporee.  The event is open to any Scouts BSA member in any council or district that would like to attend.  Events in the past have exceeded 900 Scouts and this event will be open to the first 1050 Scouts registered.  

As a part of the merit badge program each participant will take a ride on the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad.  This will take them over the highest interurban bridge in the world!  Scouts will also rotate through program stations where there will be professional railroaders, model railroader and others to provide instruction on the various parts of the Railroad merit badge.

In addition to the merit badge sessions, lunch will be provided on Saturday, a religious service and a campfire are also part of the plan.

Patches and T-shirts will be available.  T-shirts will sell for $15/$17 and should be ordered at time of registration.
