Cuyuna Family Experience 2023

Event Details

Cuyuna Family Experience
Wednesday, June 21 - Saturday, June 24, 2023
Cuyuna Scout Camp, Cross Lake, MN
$75 per person

There are not many places you can go on a family vacation for $75 per person; have your food provided, your entertainment provided, and view some of the prettiest outdoors in the state.  This is one time something that "sounds too good to be true" is actually true!  It's called Cuyuna Family Experience.

Your experience begins Wednesday, June 21, 2023, with your family arriving at camp between 1-5:30pm.  Please eat lunch before arriving at camp.  Dinner is served at 6pm followed by a campfire program.

Wake up Thursday morning to breakfast prepared for you.  Your morning will be spent in a round robin format of events such as climbing/rappelling, fire building, campfire cooking, and crafts.  Following a tasty lunch, head to the swimming beach for water fun, and to the ranges (age limits do apply) for shooting and archery.  After dinner it's time for chapel and the campfire.

Friday brings a day full of different activities.  STEM programs are happening at the Nature Center and COPE will be at the Climbing Tower.  After lunch try your hand a crafts; basketry, leatherwork or carving followed by time at the waterfront for swimming or boating.  Following dinner on Friday night, you'll enjoy friendship fires and maybe a treat or two!

Saturday morning enjoy breakfast, break camp, check-out and head for home by 10am.

If you are not one who enjoys sleeping in a tent, bring your RV or camper and stay at family camp for no additional cost.  Another option would be to rent one of our 4 cabins at family camp for an additional $95 per night.  Just bring your own towels and bedding!

The Cuyuna Family Experience is fun for the entire family.  The experience is designed for family members to enjoy camp and do activities together.  For Aquatic activities, a swim test is required.  For the Shooting Range, those ages 6-11 will shoot BB Guns and those over age 11 can shoot .22's.  Parents must give written permission for children under the age of 18 to shoot firearms or BB Guns.  Unfortunately, those under age 6 cannot shoot BB Guns but will experience the archery range without restriction.

Price for this adventure (if registered by May 20, 2023) is $75 per person and includes 8 meals, camping (tent or camper) and all program/supplies.  Enjoy swimming boating, rifle/bb gun shooting, archery range, STEM programs, learn Scoutcraft skills, basketry, leatherwork, fishing, human foosball, gaga ball and more!  After May 20, 2023, the price is $90 per person.
