Event Details

Fall Camp-o-ree
Friday, September 8 - Sunday, September 10, 2023
Cedar Point Scout Camp
6pm Friday - 9am Sunday
$30 per Youth and $15 per Adult

Who said Scout skills are only used during daylight hours?

Scouts are going to be celebrating Star Warz.  Not the Jedi Knight style but rather galactic style.  It's a glow-in-the-dark, throughout the night, social celebration of Scouthood.

When you're dealing with the stars and planets, when do you need to be out?  That's right - at night - all night!  Scouts will be doing activities following the Friday night campfire.  Activities will last until approximately 3am and some of them (but not all) include Glow in the Dark Sling Shots, Nighttime Exploration Hikes, and Stargazing.  Friday night will also feature a movie that was an astronomical success!   After a late start Saturday morning, the afternoon will be spent socializing and celebrating the comradery of Scouting.  There will be games galore, maybe some tournaments, and aquatic events.  After an evening meal (troops should plan on skits - something new, something exciting, something galactic themed?!), there will be a social campfire and more movies.

Merit badges being offered on Saturday will be Forestry (limit to 30 Scouts), Crime Prevention/Fingerprinting, and Traffic Safety There will not be a sign up for these merit badges so Scoutmaster should "Be Prepared" by having blue cards or Scoutbook on your phone.

Sign up for merit badges will be at check-in.  Forestry is limited to 30 Scout so check-in early.  All other badges can accommodate more.

There will not be a sign up for these merit badges so Scoutmaster should "Be Prepared" by having blue cards or Scoutbook on your phone.

All meals will be provided.  Please eat before arriving at camp Friday around 5:30pm. Your Scouts may want to take a nap too! There will be a late-night snack provided on Friday.

Saturday you'll be treated to late morning brunch, supper and a cracker barrel Saturday evening.  If you are an early riser you would need to furnish your own breakfast.

Units will be on their way home Sunday morning by 9am.

All persons on property must have a health form parts A/B.

Effective September 1, 2023.  All adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered in an adult fee required position as listed or as an adult program participant.  A Merit Badge Counselor does not meet this requirement.

Cost for this event is $30 per youth and $15 per adult and registration is open until Sunday, September 3, 2023.
