$150 per parent/cub scout pair

We are moving forward with this camp to happen in the great outdoors.  If Covid-19 prevents this, the camp will go virtual.  Decisions will be made closer to the event.  We appreciate your understanding.  Please read the Covid-19 requirements carefully.

Join us at Cedar Point Scout Camp for Cub Scout Resident Camp on August 15-16, 2020.

It's your "Passport To Adventure"!  We will travel around the world to learn more about other cultures, traditions and Scouting!

This adventure is open to all Cub Scouts entering 1st, 2nd or 3rd grades the fall of 2020.

Program

During their time at camp, Cub Scouts will rotate through various stations such as:  Scoutcraft from Around the World, International Games, Rank Advancement rotations, BB Guns, Archery, Sling Shots, Nature Exploration, Astronomy and more!

Belt Loop Adventures to be done at camp (partial progress or all) include

  • Tigers:  Tigers in the Wild, My Tiger Jungle, Family Stories, Sky is the Limit
  • Wolves:  Call of the Wild, Howling at the Moon, Paws on the Path, Air of the Wolf, Finding Your Way
  • Bears:  Bear Necessities, Beat of the Drum and World of Sound

Leadership

This camp is designed for a Cub Scout/Adult pair.  Additional Scouts in same family do not need to have additional adults.  

Schedule

Camp begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with opening ceremonies.  You should plan to be there are few minutes early for check-in.  Throughout the day you will travel through the different stations as a youth/adult pair.  There will ample time in the afternoon to set up your tent etc.  Programming runs until 10 p.m. Please plan for a full day of activity.

On Sunday, breakfast is served at 7:15 a.m.  And then once again you are off to travel through different stations.  The finale will happen at 12:30 p.m. with the "Race Around The World".  Closing ceremonies will follow at the completion of the race.  Once your campsite is down and camp is cleaned up, you'll be heading home around 3 p.m.

Please be advised that weather will dictate some of the activities.

Requirements

Everyone on camp property must complete a BSA Health Form Parts A&B and the Release of Liability form.Authorization for a Minor to Handle Fireams form is required for youth to shoot BB Guns or participate in Archery.  All persons on camp property must wear a facemask.

Cost

This adventure is open to all Cub Scouts entering Grades 1, 2, or 3 fall of 2020.  The cost is $150 for parent/Cub Scout pair.  Additional family members are $75.

If your unit is a Super Saver Popcorn Unit your fee is $125 per parent/Cub Scout pair.  Additional family members are $75.

If a Scout sold $1,700 or more during popcorn 2019, they also earned a $25 camp coupon.  This is an additional $25 off one Cub Scout summer camp.  You must have a code to redeem this coupon.  Codes are distributed by Shelley at the Scout office.  

All youth participants who register on time, will receive a camp T-shirt.  Please indicate size during registration process.  Adults may purchase shirts for $10 each (more for larger sizes)
