ECSI Wilderness First Aid
ECSI Wilderness First Aid training provides 2 year certification for the assessment and treatment for ill or injured people in a remote environment where definitive care is more than an hour away, and the prevention of emergencies in remote locations. Each BSA High Adventure crew is required to have one or two persons certified in Wilderness First Aid.
Prerequisites:
1) All students must have current CPR certification with a live instructor (not an online-only CPR course).
Note: There are two upcoming blended learning CPR classes near Kalamazoo or Muskegon with Angie and John, cost is $25:

2) Students must take the online pre-course from ECSI, and complete it with an 85% score on the required test. Multiple attempts are allowed without additional charge. Email the instructors to have the link and Scout discount code sent to you. Note that this requirement will cost $24.

Bring the certificate from successfully completing the course to the skills session on November 13 or email it to the instructors.
Students must also register using the green "Register" button on this page for the live skills class. Registration costs $70.
SPACE IS LIMITED TO 30 PEOPLE SO REGISTER EARLY.
Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided. Please bring water, notepad, writing implement, and backpack with essentials for a day's hike. Dress casually and comfortably for a day outside.
Free camping on Friday night, November 12 at Camp Gerber for participants! A cracker barrel will be provided on Friday night after the CPR class.
