Range Shooting Competition

Event Details

The President Ford Council of the Boy Scouts of America is sponsoring a premier shooting event unlike any other shooting event held in West Michigan.Shooters will experience a spring afternoon on an excellent range testing their accuracy and speed on the competition course.

Shooters will navigate through a combat-style course walking through the course, engaging appropriate “bad guys.”  After firing the last shotgun shell, the shooter will ditch the shotgun and transition to a 9mm where you'll ll have two, 15-round magazines for the pistol.  Continue through the course only shooting targets that pose a threat.

There will also be a range where you can prove your pistol skills with the static, speed pistol shoot. Take aim at targets that get further in distance as the course progresses.  Each target has to be cleared before moving on to the next.

Event Includes:

•Ammo and guns (required by the course)
•Shooting instruction if requested
•Premier silent/live auction, Gun Raffles
•Social hour after, including hors d’oeuvres, premium beverages, and cigars.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the nearly 20,000 young men and women in North and West Michigan.

The Scouts’ program offers many outdoor badges for achievement in rifle and shotgun shooting, archery, camping, forestry, conservation and environmental science. Last year, 3,000 Scouts earned their shooting sports badges and thousands more had their first opportunity to learn and practice safe shooting with BB Guns and on the archery range.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the a fun shooting competition while providing support for Michigan’s youth. Come join us in supporting the Boy Scouts and enjoy a spring day shooting with friends.

Registration starts at 2:30 with the competition going from 3-5pm. Dinner following
