The Outing for Scouting is President Ford Field Service Council's premier event for 2018; this bi-annual event is a unique camping adventure with a new and exciting program to all of our Scouts- regardless of age.  Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, Leaders, and parents will all find something exciting to do at this event. This year we will be smashing world records all while having a blast at Gerber Scout Reservation. If you enjoying lighting things on fire, destroying world records, competitions, throwing hatchets, breaking world records, obstacle course challenges, and smashing world records, and playing outside in the woods. We also have trophies for all this..trophies the size of Cub Scouts! 

If you didn't realize it we are also going to making and breaking several world records.

Also, there is a very high probability of a Zombie apocalypse...

“Quick” Facts

Plan to arrive for registration after 2:00 pm and before midnight on Friday, September 28, 2018.

Check out is after the 10:00 a.m. religious service and campsite inspection on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Day passes for Saturday, September 29, 2018 allow entrance and participation from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. You will need to bring a sack lunch if you are coming for the day.

Where:Gerber Scout Reservation located at 1733 Owasippe Rd, Twin Lake, MI

Pays For: Campsite fees, food (for weekend pass only), Troops will need to provide dinner on Saturday Night for the Biggest Beast Feast record (sorry Cole Canoe Base but ours will be larger), program features and activities, on Saturday night, plus all the Outing for Scouting traditions: collector’s patch, food vendors, trading posts, and one grand adventure!  Day passes include access to all program areas and trading posts between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm on Saturday only.

You will need a Health form with parts A and B filled out to attend. These will be kept with your Scout Leader for the weekend.
