                                             Scouting Adventure Fun Since 1987!

See what’s new in 2019 or come experience the fun and history for the very first time!

At Mackinac Rendezvous XVII, Scouts BSA and Venturing Crews will camp with their unit for two nights on the idyllic shores of Lake Huron in sight of the Mackinaw Bridge. Enjoy games and activities on Friday afternoon and evening and interact with real-life history re-enactors. On Saturday, Scouts BSA and Venturing Crews will ride chartered ferries to Mackinac Island for a fun-filled day of sampling fudge, touring the historic island, and taking part in an all-new MAC APP, an app-based scavenger hunt. Meanwhile, Cub Scouts and their families are invited to join the Mackinaw Cub Scout Family Camp fun this year with a full day of planned fun and activities at Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground and the surrounding area.

2019 Program Includes:

Island Adventure Program for Older Scouts:

The Island Adventure is a premium Scouting experience for Scouts BSA and Venturing Crew members 14 years and older. Scouts will stay at a special rustic BaseCamp at Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground and visit the Island Friday and Saturday with bike and hike challenges, a sailing adventure aboard the GLSA ketch Retriever and flight around the Island and Straits of Mackinaw with the EAA Young Eagles, Food is provided but you will need to bring tents, sleeping gear, and personal items.  

This is limited to the first 48 Scouts BSA, Venturing Crew Members, and adults.

 

Costs for the Island Adventure Program 2019:

Mackinaw Cub Scout Family Camp:

Brand new this year, Cubs and families are invited to enjoy a Family Camp program just for them! Experience games, activities, and even more just for our Cub Scout Families! Arrive Saturday morning as the fun starts at 9:00am. Participants must register online by September 6th, walk-ins will not be allowed.

This program is a Family Camp, to attend, at least 2 members of a family (minimum of one adult and one child) need to be present, including at least one BSA member. Youth Protection policies will apply, and parents are responsible for the supervision of their children.

Families will camp at Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground in their own tents and cook their own meals.

Beginning Saturday morning at 9:00am, families will participate in a Day Camp event to include the following: shooting BB Guns, Archery, Sling Shots, seeing historic Rogers Rangers reenactors, and more!

Saturday afternoon Cubs and families will be able to attend a Lumber Jack Show just for them, visit the Forts and tour Mackinaw City. Or, if they prefer, they can purchase ferry tickets on their own and go to Mackinac Island for a few hours. The cost of the ferry to the island is not included in the fee of this event.

Saturday evening there will be a special Campfire program for the Cub Scouts and their families. Sunday morning you will be invited to our “A Scout is Reverent” program closing, and receive a cool event patch!
