Who's Ready for FREE Family Fun??

Saturday, April 22 between 1:00 and 4:00 pm 
Come celebrate Earth Day with the Scouts! Join us at the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center, where we will have lots of hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy!

Located in the Park Trades Center at 326 W Kalamazoo Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007

  • Family friendly - siblings and friends welcome!
  • Drop in any time during the event
  • Experience the steps of the paper-making process
  • Add a recycled leaf to the Earth Day tree
  • Design and create your own print
  • Help create a 5-foot globe out of recycled paper
  • Explore the history of paper making

 

There will be opportunities for Scouts to complete several requirements.

  • Boy Scout - Pulp and Paper Merit Badge Requirements 1, 4, 7 & 8
  • Arrow of Light - Building a Better World Requirement 8
  • Webelos - Art Explosion Requirements 3g and 4b
  • Wolf - Council Fire Requirement 6a

 

*Please note that there is no on-site parking for this event.  Parking costs are not included in the cost of the event and are the responsibility of the participants. Central City Parking Arcadia Ramp (corner of Eleanor and Rose Streets) is $4 for the day on Saturday. There is also limited metered parking in front  of the building.*
