Help us Celebrate Troop 215's 100 Years in Scouting!!
Come join scouts from across Michigan on the Grand River at the first campout in 50 years to be held at historic Riverside Park. We will celebrate Troop 215's Eagle Scout Heroes, Gerald R Ford and Roger B Chaffee as well as other heroes. Awesome activities include GRFD smokehouse, American Red Cross, Military/Veterans, Police, First Responders, Astronaut activities, Gerald Ford Historic Trail, Ford Presidential Museum, Chaffee Planetarium and more. Come prepared to celebrate your own personal heroes, both real and fictional, as we encourage troops to decorate themselves and their campsites. Best costume/decorations will be decided by special guest judges. Come celebrate the hero in you!
Remember to bring your Boy Scout Health Form parts A and B.
*Optional Hike/Museum/Planetarium includes a 3-mile hike on the Gerald Ford Historic Trail from Riverside park to downtown, Ford Presidential Museum visit (free in uniform), and Planetarium Show at 3:00 or 4:00. Does not include VanAndel Museum admission. Includes President Ford Trail patch if all requirements are met (link to requirements). You can have some of your unit do the Hike/Museum/Planetarium and some of your unit do park activities as long as you arrange for two deep leadership for both groups. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
