Annually, Scouts from West Michigan gather at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans to pay tribute to our Veterans. The Scout Oath and law are the foundations for the values that Scouting strives to instill In today’s youth. Part of the Scout Oath is Duty to Country. The decoration of graves in the Veteran’s Cemetery is an opportunity to honor those that  have given of themselves in service to our country to insure the freedom that we all enjoy.

Scouting units and their families are needed for an evening event that recognizes and honors our Veterans by placing flags on the graves in the Grand Rapids Veteran’s Cemetery in preparation for  Memorial Day.

There is no cost to participate and the evening begins with cookout and brief opening ceremony.
