Calling all Boy Scouts in Flint - Interested in Computer Controlled Design?  

What is CNC?  CNC stands for computer numerical control.

 

A CNC router (Or Computer Numerical Control router) is a computer-controlled cutting machine related to the hand held router used for cutting various hard materials, such as wood, composites, aluminium, steel, plastics, and foams.

When?  Saturday, April 28, 2018

Time:  9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Where?  Factory Two Makerspace  129 N. Grand Traverse St. Flint, MI

Lunch provided.  Please wear close toed shoes, for safety.

Join us at Factory Two, a Makerspace in downtown Flint, to explore new opportunities in STEM.  This free hands-on event is open to all youth aged 12-18 in Genesee County; lunch provided!

Under guidance from the Factory Two staff, participants will tour the facility and become makers themselves as they learn all about the exciting engineering and technology behind CNC Design. 

After lessons in design and fabrication, each participant will take home a CNC cut design item.
