Cranbrook STEM Adventure

This STEM Adventure will be held at the Cranbrook Institute of Science. NOVA Counselors and Cranbrook Instructors are coming together in an effort for Cub Scouts and Webelos to get hands on experience with achieving the “Down and Dirty" NOVA module.
You will be engaging in different STEM learning experiences. Multiple areas around Cranbrook will provide opportunities to explore. We will conduct different STEM rotations that will allow your Cub Scout/Webelos to meet each of the “Down and Dirty” NOVA requirements (except the separate Belt Adventure, which should be completed before attending.)
The Boy Scouts and Venturers will work on either the "Designed to Crunch" or "Numbers Don't Lie" program. We will be also offering Weather Merit Badge (one of the prerequisite merit badge for the "Designed to Crunch NOVA") Scouts will have the special opportunity to participate in a star lab within Cranbrook’s unique planetarium. We will also be given a specialized tour of the Changing Hall which will be exhibiting: "Tutankhamen “Wonderful Things” From the Pharaoh’s Tomb" and we will be able to discuss hieroglyphics with the Scouts.
