The Great Lakes and Southern Shores Field Service Councils will be teaming up to bring you this STEM Adventure and will be held at the Yankee Air Museum.

NOVA Counselors and Yankee Air Instructors are coming together in an effort for Cub Scouts and Webelos to get hands on experience with achieving the "Out of this World" NOVA module.

Boy Scouts will be able to chose to either complete Aviation Merit badge or  Space Exploration Merit Badge in the morning and NOVA Shoot! in the afternoon. Venturing will work on NOVA Launch! in the afternoon.   There are limited spots, so sign up soon!

You will be engaging in different STEM learning experiences. Multiple areas around Yankee Air Museum will provide opportunities to explore.  We will conduct different STEM rotations that will allow your Cub Scout/Webelos to meet each of the “ Out of This World! ” NOVA requirements (except the separate Adventure, which needs to be completed before attending.)

Prerequisites for Aviation Merit Badge
Make sure you complete Requirement #1 and #5 and bring associated documentation.  Also bring your SIGNED, BLUE MERIT MERIT BADGE CARD from your Scoutmaster.

Prerequisites for Space Exploration Merit Badge
Make sure you complete Requirement #2, #3* and #5b and bring associated documentation.  Also bring your SIGNED, BLUE MERIT MERIT BADGE CARD from your Scoutmaster.

(We will NOT be launching rockets as we are located on an active airport.  Bring a completed model rocket instead as described in the option to Reqt#3.)

Prerequisites for Cub Scouts/Webelos NOVA
Make sure you complete Requirement #1 and #2 (If you have the applicable "belt adventure" completed before the event - if not, we will be completing Option A at the event.)

Prerequisites for Boy Scouts/Venturers NOVA
Make sure you complete Requirement #1 and #2 and bring associated documentation.
