Wilderness Explorer Week

OPEN TO THE GENERAL COMMUNITY AND SCOUTS ALIKE!
ALL LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION IS PROVIDED

Wilderness Explorer Week is a Staff Counselor led program with an Outdoor Adventure focus. Participants will have an amazing time participating in programs in: aquatics, STEAM, nature, outdoor skills, range sports, and camp-wide fun! The 6-day session at Cole Canoe Base offers Scouts an opportunity to interact and develop as Leaders with peers from both inside and outside of their community for an extended time.
 

Cole Canoe Base Wilderness Explorer Week

Spend a week outdoors with kids your age from across Michigan (and beyond)!  Participants between the ages of 10 and 13 will be assigned to activity groups and participate in age-appropriate activities, while expanding their skills and sparking new interests.  Each activity group is provided with a camp guide for the week to explore camp in a new way. From exciting activities to group challenges, there’s lots to do!  Activities will include: Aquatics, Nature, Shooting Sports, Crafts, Cooking, Tubing/River fun, and more!

Qualified leadership and supervision are provided by the camp staff, so no parent attendance is required. Parents and Leaders may attend, but this experience gives children from busy families a chance to still make it to camp without having to worry if the adults can too.
