Venturing North: Training, Adventure & Fun at Camp Hiawatha!

Ready for an unforgettable weekend in the U.P.?

Pack your gear, gather your crew, and join the President Ford Venturing Officers' Association (VOA) for a weekend filled with leadership training, outdoor adventure, fellowship, and plenty of fun at the beautiful Camp Hiawatha in Munising!

Whether you're:

• A brand-new Crew looking to build leadership skills,
• A Venturer working toward the Summit Award,
• An advisor searching for advancement resources,
• Or simply excited for an opportunity to explore MCC's newest property...

This event is for you!

One of the biggest challenges in Venturing advancement is finding trained leaders to help guide the journey. That's why the PF VOA is bringing valuable training opportunities directly to the U.P., including:

• Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews (ILSC)

• Crew Officers Orientation (Updaed in-person ciriculum!)

• One additional training session selected by attendees

More Than Just Training

We're mixing learning with adventure!

• A camp-wide scavenger hunt
• Fellowship with Venturers from around the area
• Campfire conversations and Cracker Barrels
• Time to explore and enjoy Camp Hiawatha
• Plenty of fun throughout the weekend

Weekend Schedule

• Friday
  • Check-in: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Opening activities and training begin at 8:30 PM
• Saturday
  • Leadership training sessions
  • Scavenger hunt and activities
  • Fellowship, fun, and great food all day
• Sunday
  • Wrap-up activities
  • Depart for home no later than noon

Registration Includes

• All training materials and supplies
• Friday night Cracker Barrel
• Three meals and Cracker Barrels on Saturday
• Sunday breakfast
• Campsite for tent camping

• Cabin lodging is available for an additional $20 per person during registration.
