Need Training? The University of Scouting is THE place to be! With lots of classes to choose from that range from the beginning leader/Cub Scout parent to Boy Scout leader/veteran, or a youth in a leadership role, you are assured of finding the help you are looking for! University of Scouting is a one day supplemental training that offers everything from the most basic Leader Specific training to more advanced sessions. This year will feature lots of new and exciting classes designed to help you, the unit leader, take your unit to the next level of program.

Show them adventure, make them effective, keep them engaged through desirable, consistent, accessible, and high quality training.

   Mark Logemann

   Assistant Chief Scout Executive

   National Director of Support Services

 

Mark began his career in the Dan Beard Council located in Cincinnati, Ohio, serving as District Executive, District Director, Field Director, and Director of Field Service. Following that he was selected as Scout Executive of the Southwest Michigan Council in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After five successful years he was promoted to Area Director for the 13 councils in Ohio and West Virginia. For more than eight years, Mark served as Scout Executive of the Bay-Lakes Council in Appleton, Wisconsin. In January 2016, Mark was selected to serve as the new Membership Growth Group Director at the National Service Center. In this role, Mark oversees departments and teams with direct responsibility for working in partnership with local councils in growing the membership of the Boy Scouts of America. Mark is an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow, and a James E. West Fellow. He graduated from Salem College in Salem, West Virginia, with a degree in youth agency administration and a minor in business. Mark and his wife Anne have two Eagle Scout sons – David and Steven. His hobbies include golf, skiing, scuba diving, and woodworking.
