Training is an important part of being a leader. Being trained for your position will give you the tools to be confident in your leadership role and ensure that our youth have a positive
experience that will last a lifetime.


Cub Leader Specific:
Get the training you need for the position you
hold. Learn from experienced instructors as
well as group discussions.
Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster (C40)
Den Leader and Assistant (C42 Includes Tiger,
Bear, Wolf and Webelos)
Pack Committee (C60)
Time: 9:00 AM - Noon Fee: $5


Scoutmaster & Asst. Scoutmaster Specific (S24):
This course covers the role of the
Scoutmaster/ASM. Learn from experienced
leaders and group discussions.
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Fee: $5


Troop Committee Challenge (S10):
This course covers the roles of the Troop
Committee and how their support the troop.
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Fee: $5


Merit Badge Counselor (D76):
This course provides the merit badge
counselors with BSA requirements, working
with the scouts, and what is required of the
counselor.
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Fee: $5


Youth Protection Training (Y01):
The first class all leaders must take and
renew every two years. Learn what the
signs of abuse are and what is required of
you if you suspect it. Also learn how to keep
yourself safe using two-deep leadership in all
situations.
Time: 9 AM – 11:30 AM Fee: $5


REGISTRATION INFORMATION
PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
To be respectful of our volunteer trainer’s time, registration will be closed 2 days prior to the course. Courses with zero registrations will not be held and those instructors will be available for other activities.
To register go to: www.michiganscouting.org, select the “Calendar” tab, then scroll down to the date of the course and select “leader specific training” and the course you need – be sure to read the location and start time information as there may be classes taking place in other parts of the Council on the same day and each class starts at a different time.
