Scouting for Food

Water and Woods will be participating in Scouting for Food this fall on two Saturdays for the majority of the council. ( Units in the Lansing Area, Flint Area, and Great Lakes Bay Region are invited to participate). Door hanger/bag distribution will be on Saturday, November 2.  Scouts will return the following Saturday,  November 9 to collect food and deliver to local food pantries.  

Port Huron Area, Blue Water District does their collection in December.

We plan to have a semi trailer parked at the Burton office for units to take their collected food.  Units are also encouraged to take the collected food to their local food pantry.

Patch Design Contest! 

 Scouts can design this years Scouting for Food patch!

• Must be designed by a Scouting youth
• Design must be able to fit a 3 1/2 round patch.
• Nine colors maximum on the design
• No copyrighted items can be on the patch
• Design must be submitted no later than October, 11, 2019
• One winner will be selected and the Scout that designed the winning entry will receive the first patch and a $25 Scout Shop gift card

If your unit wishes to participate, please sign up  here.  We have a large supply of door hangers and a limited supply of bags.  (first come first serve) Please indicate your preference when you sign up here.  You will also complete the closeout form here.

You can order and pay for your patches on this registration page only.  (To purchase patches, click the green register button and input all of the information.)  Patches are $1 ea. You will be charged tax on your patch purchase.  Also, if you pay by e-check you won't pay the credit card convenience fee.  You can also download all of the information and forms here.  Also, you can sign up to participate at the links on the next line instead of printing forms and sending in.
