STEM Night at Roll Haven!

The Science of Roller Skating for Cub Scouts! 

November & December dates have been moved to 2017! Check out Scouts Skate Free happening NOW at Roll Haven!

 

 

 

Doors open at 6pm.  STEM Program begins at 6:30. Registration Fee includes STEM lesson, 1 hr of skating and skate/blade rental for the October Event.

Join us at Roll Haven Skating Arena for a night of science and roller skating! This is the PERFECT Den or Pack meeting supplement!

Scouts will learn about the parts of a roller skate and their function. In teams they will learn how to work together on planning and strategies needed to rebuild a disassembled roller skate through hands on activities. Scouts will have the opportunity to explore ways to improve the design of a roller skate or roller blade components using the principles of Science and Engineering.

Each event will focus on a NOVA Award. The first event will complete the Science Everywhere Nova Award, with the exception of requirement #2, earn an elective adventure.

Events will have pizza and soda available for the Scouts.

**REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE THE FRIDAY BEFORE EACH EVENT**
