Training Goals

• Practice camp setup
• Practice breaking camp
• Practice hiking etiquette and techniques
• Practice bear bags
• Practice sterilizing dishes
• Practice cooking
• Practice cleanup & sumps
• Understand the bear-muda triangle
• Become familiar with Philmont food / commissaries / swap boxes
• Practice shakedown / packing up gear into packs
• Practice dining fly setup (if available)
• Understand arrival at basecamp
• Crews to be familiar with Expedition Number
• Crew to be familiar with Itinerary/Trek
• Crew Leader to practice duty roster
