Celebrating Ottawa Volunteers with Fun, Fellowship & Recognitions

A night out for all Ottawa District volunteers at all levels of Scouting.

We will present the Silver Beaver Award, District Award of Merit, Ottawa Trailblazer Awards, Commissioner, Venture Advisor, Scoutmaster & Cubmaster of the Year!

Ottawa Commissioners will run their annual Silent Auction with all kinds of stuff to bid on from home-cooked goodies to fun memorabilia. Please bring donation items to the auction. Proceeds help fund Camp Scholarships.

How to nominate a volunteer to be recognized during the dinner:

The Ottawa District Trailblazer Award is a District Award that is awarded to deserving leaders and committee members who blaze the trail for our units. Each unit may award up to three trailblazers per year. After filling out this award it is up to you to notify the honoree and make sure they attend the District Dinner to receive this honor. The award consists of a certificate, lapel pin and recognition in our dinner program book. Register your Trailblazers at https://179chuck.wufoo.com/forms/q16va0wv1gzifea/ by April 21, 2024

The Ottawa Leader of the Year Award. Be sure to nominate your Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, or Advisor for the Leader of the Year. To be eligible your leader should have served in the position during the past year, your unit has sent a representative to 75% of Roundtables in the past year, the leader is fully trained for their position, and your unit is at minimum a JTE Bronze level unit. The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts. The award is available to adult volunteers who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. Ottawa District is eligible to present three Award of Merits annually.
