A NIGHT OF FUN, FELLOWSHIP & RECOGNITION
This year we will hold our dinner at Multi Lakes Conservation Club in Commerce starting at 5:30 PM Fellowship, at 6:45 Barbeque Dinner served, 7:30 Recognition Program. There will be a Silent Auction to support the Ottawa Commissioner Campership Program. Register to recognize your unit volunteers and bring along a group to honor your awardees.

The Ottawa Leader of the Year Award The Ottawa Leader of the Year Award. Be sure to nominate your Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, or Advisor for the Leader of the Year. To be eligible your leader should have served in the position during the past year, your unit has sent a representative to 75% of Roundtables in the past year, the leader is fully trained for their position, and your unit must meet at least four of its Unit Metrics. The Ottawa District Trailblazer Award is a District Award that is awarded
to deserving leaders and committee members who blaze the trail for our
units. Each unit may award up to three trailblazers per year. After filling
out this award it is up to you to notify the honoree and make sure they
attend the District Dinner to receive this honor. The award consists of a
certificate, lapel pin and recognition in our dinner program book. Register

The District Award of Merit The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts. The award is available to adult volunteers who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. Ottawa District is eligible to present three Award of Merits annually. JAMES WEST FELLOWSHIP AWARD The James West Fellowship Award: James E. West was the first Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, and he served in that position for more than three decades. The West Fellowship award is available for gifts of $1,000 and up in cash or marketable securities to a council endowment fund. Many individuals and Units make these gifts either on behalf of someone else—such as in honor of an Eagle Scout, Silver Beaver recipient, a retirement, a special accomplishment, or anniversary—or in memory of a special individual.
