We are pleased to announce the 2019 Merit Badge Tech which will take place at Traverse City’s Career Tech Center (CTC). Scouts have the opportunity to complete up to four merit badges while seeing the latest technology and state of the art equipment at the CTC facilities. Over 70 CTC staff, Scouting leaders and supporters will be on site; instructing, assisting and supporting this long-standing partnership between the CTC and Scouting! 

WHAT TO BRING: 

         Merit Badge worksheets; reviewed in full with prerequisites completed.

         Scouting for Food non-perishable food donations - recipient:               

            TC Alternative High School students and families.

        Sack lunch (lunch will NOT be served this year) 

 

8:30am                     Flag Ceremony at TBAISD, for all Scouts - including offsite Scouts.

9am - 12pm             Session I

11:30am - 1pm        Lunch

1 pm - 4 pm             Session II

Badges with a 1,2, or 3 are done in conjunction with the badge with the same number.

*These badges are not recommended for Scouts under the rank of First Class.

 

STEM Nova Session

Morning Session- Join us for a chance to learn how to incorporate STEM into your year of Scouting and become your unit's NOVA Counselor. Please bring a copy of your Youth Protection Training Certificate. 

Afternoon Session- Scouts, join us for a two for one experience  at Merit Badge Tech Day. Every NOVA Award requires a Scout to do a Merit Badge as the second requirement of the Award. So as you complete any of the following Merit Badges (Aviation, Drafting, Engineering, Railroading) in the morning, join us in the afternoon to work on the Engineering based NOVA Award called Whoosh!! You'll learn all about simple machines and design your own Amusement Park or mode of transportation.
