Kishahtek Fall Ordeal

Event Details

Kishahtek Lodge's
Annual Fall Ordeal

NO WALK-INS, YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER

The Ordeal is the first step toward fully joining the OA. During the ordeal, candidates are expected to maintain silence unless its necessary to speak, receive small amounts of food, work on camp improvement projects, and sleep apart from others. The ordeal is designed to teach the significant values of the OA.

For this and all future lodge events you will have to have your BSA ID. This is the key to making sure your information is updated in Lodge Master. If you do not know your BSA ID you can find it on your BSA membership card or you can get it from your Scoutmaster or Committee Chair. Make sure you have your BSA ID before you start the registration process.

For Lodge Annual Pass holders, when you register you will have to accurately enter your name and unit number for the Annual Pass to be accepted. For Members of Council that are not associated with a unit, you will need to accurately enter your name and the district you are a member of for the Annual Pass to be accepted. The Annual Pass code that you were given is entered at the bottom of your registration form once everything else has been filled in.

The cost of the ordeal is $60. With this, you will receive the OA handbook, a sash, a Kishahtek Lodge Flap, a Kishahtek mask, your 2020 Kishahtek Lodge Dues, and a coupon for a free lodge event after your ordeal. If the cost is too high for you to cover, let us know as we have a scholarship fund available. Also part of the cost goes to covid cleaning supplies.

All participants must arrive at the event with all required paperwork and PPE/Mask or face coverings (See “Scout on Safely” MCC Webpage for details https://michiganscouting.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/RequiredForms-6-25-2020.pdf) NOTE:

All forms will be reviewed, and the unit check list will be archived.
All participants will be screened with a questionnaire and temperature check.
If participating as an individual, please have all paperwork (listed above) ready for submission at event check-in. You will also be required to sign the event Roster for individual participants.
All participants must be pre-registered. No walk-in registration permitted.

For your safety all areas will be cleaned and sanitized every four hours and equipment will be cleaned and sanitized after each use.

We look forward to continuing to offer Scouting programs for your youth and appreciate your support in keeping everyone safe during this event!
