2025 Hiawathaland Adventure Camp

Event Details

 

Join us for a family camping weekend of fun and experience camp in a whole new way! Check-out the beauty of the Hiawatha National Forest. This is a Family Camping Experience! 

COST:

$60 per family (up to 5) $10 per additional family member.

Includes a campsite for your family complete with a picnic shelter and table, flushing toilets nearby, and access to individual showers. Rustic type campsite with no electric hookups nearby. Firewood is Free and located nearby. 

Meals are on your own; bring your own food.

PROGRAM: 2025 dates are tentative

Check In between 1:00 and 7:00 PM on Friday July 4, 2025

Departure Sunday July 6, 2025 by 1:00 PM.

Optional Thursday, July 3rd Check in after 5pm is available, please indicate that on your registration. 

The camp staff will host a campfire Saturday evening.

The trading post will be open for snacks, slushies, ice cream, popcorn, camping gear, T-shirts, and more.

Camp program areas will be open at select times annouced on Friday night of the event for families to drop in and have fun. Activities can include open swimming and boating, open range & target activities, disc golf, games, ecology and much more. Fishing docks are available if you bring your fishing poles & bait. Upon checking in please let the staff know what your family is interested in.

Families are encouraged to explore the local attractions; visit pictured rocks national lakeshore, hike to chapel falls, schedule some waterfall tours, or take a family bike ride.  There are so many options in and around the greater Munising area! Enjoy nearby Munising 4th of July celebration on the 4th and use this as your campground for the weekend. 

Other Information 

Each very large campsite will have other families camping in it with their own picnic shelter with a shared fire pit. 

Sign up early as there are only 55 spots for families. (We can fit more families if we share picnic shelters)

Recommendations: bring cooking equipment or plan to share the fire pit. 

Rules: Scout Camp rules apply with No Smoking of any kind in camp or use of tobacco products and No Alcohol on camp property.  Close toed shoes are required at all times. Fires are to be tended to or put out.
