STEM - Start your Engines NOVA Award at General Motors

Event Details

Back by popular demand, we will be offering a NOVA day at General Motors Components Plant. 

Scouts BSA and Venturers will see the test labs where all of the latest and greatest car parts and engines are created at the General Motors plant in West Michigan. Scouts not only will work on their Start your Engines NOVA Award but they will  build and take apart models of parts that GM creates every day.  

Cost: $15

Two program times offered - choose the one that fits your schedule:

Morning Session 10:00-12:00 Noon 

Afternoon Session  1:00-3:00

Both held at GM-Components Holdings LLC- 2100 Burlingame Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509)

Scouts BSA and Venturers will meet requirements for the Start Your Engines NOVA Award. Venturers will meet the requirements for Power Up.

Requirements to be completed prior to the event: 

-1 and 2 of Start Your Engines  OR 1 and 2 of Power Up

Requirements completed at the event: 

-3,4,5
