BALOO is a training event for all Cub Scout Leaders that introduces you to the skills needed to plan and conduct pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping. A BALOO trained leader must be in attendance at each pack overnighter.

This energetic course covers outdoor meeting preplanning, ceremonies, site selection, parent involvement, health and safety, equipment, meal preparation and planning, campfire program, and introduction to basic outdoor skills.

Do you need to attend BALOO Training but cant leave the kids home? Bring them along! New this spring, to make it easier for busy families, we are planning some fun activities to keep the kids busy while you take your training.

Youth Participant COST: $12.00 (includes all meals)

Some of the activities include:

     Hike
     Outdoor games
     Crafts
     Campfire program    

Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast are included.

ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED

By completing this training course the participant will:

1) Understand the focus of the Cub Scout level of the BSA camping program

2) Acquire the skills necessary to plan and carry out a successful camp-out

3) Understand the requirements for successful completion of this activity using National standards as guidelines.

TO GET COMPLETE CREDIT FOR THIS COURSE YOU MUST TAKE THE ONLINE PORTION PRIOR TO ATTENDING THIS SESSION. IT CAN BE FOUND AT MY.SCOUTING.ORG UNDER THE BSA LEARNING CENTER.
