Haunted Woods 2023: We're Back Jack-O-Lantern 
October 27-29, 2023

This is a recruitment event, so please invite your friends to come and
see/participate in a Scouting event by walking through the haunted woods on

The non-scary time for Haunted Woods 2023 will correspond with the end of the
Verhage Farms Trunk or Treat event (starts at 6:00 pm).
The Haunted Woods Scary Time will start at 9:00 pm and end before 11:00 pm.

For being able to use the orchard, each patrol will need to provide 3 bags of
candy to support the Verhage Farms trunk or treat (these will be collected at
check in).

Scouts BSA will start camping Friday night starting at 6:00.
Scouts will have all day Saturday to work on their Haunted Woods Stations.
All scouts will need to be out of their campsites by 10:00 Sunday morning.

Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast will be provided for Scouts BSA scouts
and leaders.

For the weekend:
-Medical A&B will be needed for each person (Scouts BSA / leader) who is
staying overnight.  Medical forms must be maintained by the event medical
officer during the event; they will be returned to each troop at breakfast on
Sunday morning.
-Potable water needs to be brought to the event by the scouts; we don't have
any running water in the campsite area
-Campfires must stay off the ground (if troops want one please bring a fire
pit that won't damage the ground)
-Hand washing:  We have no running water so please plan to have a way for the
Scouts to clean their hands before eating.
