STEM Nuclear Sci MB/ Digital Tech MB- Hope College

Join us for a day of exploring the exciting field of Nuclear Science, Digital Technology and Coding!! Scouts will have the opportunity to choose between two exciting Merit Badge opportunities as well as a portion of a brand NEW NOVA Award centered around coding called “Hello World”. If your Scout chooses to work on the Nuclear Science Merit Badge for the day, they will get the chance to build an electroscope, cloud chamber and atomic models. Even more exciting, join us for a tour of the Hope College Particle Accelerator.
Where: Hope College Haworth Engineering Center (22 E 10th st. Holland, MI 49423)
When: Saturday February 1st, 2020- 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Scouts must be signed in and out for the day
Sign in the lobby on the west side of the building.
Dress: Field Uniforms
Cost: $30
Bring:
- Merit badge workbook and blue card if you can. A few copies will be available on site.
-‘Hello World’ NOVA Award Tracking Sheet- Available to the right.
- To save time at registration, please complete the Hope College liability form - located in the right margin of this page. Please complete, print and bring with you.
-A copy of your current Cyber Chip worksheet.

Nuclear Science- Requirement 2A
Digital Technology- 2 and 6
Hello World- Requirements 1 and 3
