2019 Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner
The Great Lakes Council, Boy Scouts of America, annual Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes noteworthy and extraordinary leadership of citizens in the metro Detroit area. Honoring distinguished citizenship delivers a message to our youth that character counts. The lives of distinguished citizens put into place guideposts that serve to inspire our youth to lead, to accept responsibility, and to care about principles and causes beyond self-interest.
The Distinguished Citizen Award is presented to individual community leaders who provide outstanding civic service to the adult and/or youth in the community.
Those who receive the award are not necessarily Boy Scout volunteers, but rather individuals who personify what the Boy Scouts stand for – good citizenship, outstanding moral fiber with a dedication to others, and for living their lives by the Scout Oath and Law.
This year’s recipient of the Distinguished Citizen Award is Bruce Dall, President, MotorCity Casino Hotel, for his involvement with the youth in our community and his impact on Scouting
Mr. Dall will receive this award on Tuesday, November 12, 219 at MotorCity Casino Hotel Sound Board in Detroit.
