Skilled Trades Merit Badge Day

Join us for a fun filled day learning all about the skilled trades. Scouts will have the choice to work on the Automotive Maintenance Merit Badge or the Electricity Merit Badge. Our partner Grand Rapids Community College, has a phenomenal tech school where they have hands on opportunities for our Scouts to learn about the automotive and electricity world. The location of this event has a full construction workshop with electrical equipment, welding equipment, wood shop, and 20 automotive bays.  You won’t want to miss out!!

Cost: $20/Scout

Location- Grand Rapids Community College Leslie E. Tassell M-Tec Building- 622 Godfrey Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

At this event Scouts will complete the following requirements and to complete the badge, they will have to do the following pre- requisites:

Automotive Maintenance:

Pre-Requisite: Requirement 11

Completed at the event: 1-10 and 12

Electricity:

Pre-Requisite:  1-3, 5, 8-10

Completed at the event: 4, 6, 7, 11a, 11d

We will have Merit Badge Counselors on site to sign blue cards and ask that you bring your own blue cards.  We will have a few on site if needed.
