2026 National Scout Jamboree and Great Smokies Adventure

National Scout Jamboree Registration

Scouts, Scouters and Venturers from across the Michigan Crossroads Council register for the Jamboree as individuals. In September 2025, Scouts and Venturers will be allocated to troops and crews based on the Scout’s and Venturer’s geographic location. This allows Scouts and Venturers from the same troop or crew and neighboring troops and crews to come together to form contingent troops and crews. Contingent troops and crews consist of 40 participants, 36 youth and 4 adult leaders. 

You must register for the 2026 National Scout Jamboree with the Michigan Crossroads Council website to pay your Jamboree fees. Please write down your registration number when you've completed the registration process. You will need this when you make future payments. 

Scout Participant Qualifications

  • MUST have a current BSA membership with a BSA Troop.
  • MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree (July 22, 2026) and has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree (July 31, 2026).
  • Be approved by the unit leader and local council.
  • Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
  • Filed a BSA Health & Medical Record parts A, B, and C with their council within one year of attending the Jamboree.  (MCC will provide specifics closer to the Jamboree.)
  • Submit all registrations fees per the MCC’s payment schedule.

Venturer Participant Qualifications

  • Crew members MUST have a current BSA membership with a Venturing crew.
  • Has not reached their 21st birthday by the last day of the Jamboree (July 31, 2026).
  • Be approved by the unit leader and local council.
  • Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
  • Filed a BSA Health & Medical Record parts A, B, and C with their council within one year of attending the Jamboree.  (MCC will provide specifics closer to the Jamboree.)
  • Submit all registrations fees per the MCC’s payment schedule.

Youth attending the Jamboree with the Michigan Crossroads Council register on the MCC website and make their Jamboree payments through the same website. 

For youth Jamboree registrations, be sure to use youth registrant’s BSA Member ID, not a parent’s or guardian’s BSA Member ID number.

All participant payments are non-refundable but can be transferred to another non-registered participant who replaces a cancelling participant. Additionally, application requires that the Scouts and Venturers abide by the specific policies of the Jamboree and failure of any participant to adhere to those policies will serve as grounds to have their participation revoked (with no refund).

The MCC participant fee is $3,000 per person if registration occures before 10/31/2025 when prices will increase to $3,250 per the National price increase. The participant fee includes: 

  • National Jamboree fee
  • Training weekend campout with the MCC Jamboree units before the Jamboree
  • Stuff We All Get (proposed SWAG includes duffel bag, daypack, tee shirts, patches, etc.)
  • Transportation to/from Jamboree on touring buses
  • Meals to/from Jamboree
  • Lodging while traveling to the Jamboree
  • Michigan Crossroads Council Pre-Jamboree Great Smokies Adventure Tour (proposed adventure includes whitewater rafting, zip lines, climbing walls, and an evening BBQ)
  • Participants are responsible for their uniforms (two complete field/class A uniforms), personal gear (e.g., mess kit and sleeping bag), spending money, and trading patches
  • All Troop/Crew gear such as tents, cots, stoves, troop pots/pans, tables, etc. will be provided by MCC or the Summit. Subject to change.

The payment schedule for the Jamboree is (this schedule will be modified if registration occures on or after 11/3/25 when the National Price for this event increases):

Scholarship/Campership Applications:

Scholarship/campership application process will be published in early 2025.  It is anticipated that scholarships/camperships will be less than 10% of the 2026 Jamboree fee.  In addition any scholarship/campership awards will be applied to the last fee payment.  Scholarship/campership funds cannot be used for the registration fee or any payment interim payments.
