Traverse City Location Information:

For the last 19 years, the Grand Traverse Metro Fire and the Michigan Crossroads Council, has led the community in the remembrance of the horrific acts of September 11, 2001. Hundreds of Scouts, leaders, volunteers, and people from our community have gathered each year to take part in a 9/11 Scout Salute. At sunup our youth and leaders have taken time to stand at salute in respect for those who perished and those who gave so much love and help following the horrific acts of September 11. In coordination with area First Responders, Scouts, and Citizens we will be again holding the Salute at the Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department Administration building in Traverse City. This year is the 20th Anniversary of the attacks. We will once again be providing a special 9/11 Salute Patch to all participants. Come join hundreds of Scouts to join the tradition of our salute.

Your unit can sign up by clicking on the register button on the right.

Please make your plans to support this great event! As September 11 is on a Saturday this year, we hope you will register to attend.
