Come Be A Part of the Michigan State Fair at the Suburban Showplace

The Boy Scouts of America is looking for your help promoting Scouting at the Michigan State Fair.
This will be our fourth year representing Scouting with a huge display and hands on exhibits to let the people of Michigan see our Scouting programs. We are looking for you to come and spend one or more 4-hour blocks of time over the Labor Day weekend being an ambassador of Scouting at the fair. Scouts, Leaders, and Parents are asked to come and share your Scouting stories to our display’s guests. At the fair we will have over 5,000 guests at our display and this is a great opportunity to let others know what Scouting means to you.
The display will feature a large pioneer gateway that is seen from anywhere in the exhibit area. We have tons of graphics, and several monitors to show our guests the excitement of Scouting. We will feature a Pinewood Derby to show Cub Scout Fun. Our guests will walk through a live Boy Scout Campsite and see the equipment used. Exhibits on the BSA’s outdoor programs; including Camping, High Adventure and Trail to Eagle exhibits. Our STEM Display will feature the Boy Scouts of America’s newest program includes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
