Thank you for registering your youth, age 11 - 17 for the Fly Fishing Merit Badge. This is a Rain or Shine Event and we are not able to offer refunds. The Merit Badge Counselor will help each youth complete the requirements that cannot be done on site at this event, by asking you to help them document their achievements/requirements and communicating with the MB Counselor for them to sign off on the Blue Card.
Links to Online Learning can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRZKEq33ZKY&list=PLmiZL9S-TqbFG9DC9REA3aLX-JHBuFJi6
Look for Outdoor Code, Catch and Release, Match the Hatch, Match the Rod, Types of Flies, Knots, and Health & Safety. These videos are not Mandatory, but will help for quicker learning day of the event.
If your youth is NOT a Scouts BSA Youth but still wishes to complete the requirements - we welcome them to do so!
You do NOT have to be a registered member of the BSA to participate in this amazing learning opportunity with our skilled Fly Fishing mentors.
An adult must remain on site with youth who are not attending with their Scouts BSA Troop and accompanied by their Unit Leader(s). If you are sending your youth in a group, we need the parents to email us permissions with Parents Name, Number, Youth or Youths Name, and the Parent or Leader responsible for the group.
For all parents attending we ask for Photo ID at Morning Registration.
