Dive into discovery at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center with our Oceanography Merit Badge course, led by certified Merit Badge Counselors.

This hands-on program offers Scouts the opportunity to explore the wonders of the ocean while completing all badge requirements.

Scouts will investigate the physical and chemical properties of ocean water, examine marine ecosystems, and learn about careers in oceanography. Activities may include water sampling, wave tank experiments, mapping the sea floor, and exploring marine life native to our coastal region.

Check-in will begin at 9 am with the Badge session starting at 9:15 am.
