South Shore YMCA Nature Center – Oceanography Merit Badge  

Dive into discovery at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center with our Oceanography Merit Badge course, led by our certified Merit Badge Counselors. This hands-on program offers Scouts the opportunity to explore the wonders of the ocean while completing all badge requirements in a fun and educational setting. 

Scouts will investigate the physical and chemical properties of ocean water, examine marine ecosystems, and learn about careers in oceanography.

Who Should Attend: Scouts working toward their Oceanography Merit Badge 

What to Bring: Completed Requirements 8A OR B and requirement 9 – Typed and printed or emailed before the session to bgreene@ssymca.org

We’re also offering a Morning Merit Badge session for those looking to earn two badges in one day. You can register for both sessions and spend the day exploring the earth and sea in one unforgettable experience!
