Requirements before you come: Requirement 4 (a or b) Unearth secrets of the Earth at the South Shore YMCA Nature Center with our Geology Merit Badge course, led by certified Merit Badge Counselors. This engaging, hands-on program gives Scouts the opportunity to explore the dynamic forces that shape our planet while completing all the requirements for the Geology badge. Scouts will examine rock and mineral samples, learn how to read geological maps, explore the processes of erosion, sedimentation, and plate tectonics, and discover how geology impacts our everyday lives — from natural resources to engineering.

Check-in will begin at 10:30 am with the Badge session starting at 10:45 am.
