Join Merit Badge Counselor and NRT Education Director, Nathan, at the Natural Resources Trust of Easton ‘s Sheep Pasture to earn your Animal Science Badge! This program is designed to introduce you to the farm animals that call Sheep Pasture home. We’ll explore the basic needs of all living things and relate them to the needs of our animals. You’ll also learn about what these animals provide to us when they are healthy and happy. Scouts will be able to meet Sheep Pasture’s animals up close, craft a bracelet out of wool, and make and sample their own fresh butter*!
Check-in will begin at 11:45 am. The program will start at 12:00 pm and last until 2:00 pm. Check-in is at the Carriage House, located directly across from the chicken coops. Participants are welcome to stay and explore Sheep Pasture after the program ends. *
The NRT provides heavy cream and saltine crackers for butter making. These items contain dairy and gluten. The NRT does not provide allergen-free items, but participants are allowed to bring their own.
