Volunteer COPE and Climbing Training

Event Details

Northern Star Council will be offering COPE & Climbing Training for Camp Staff -offered at Tomahawk Scout Camp in June 2017.    

June 1-3 Foundations Level I: Learn the basics of climbing, belaying and tower setup

June 3-5 Foundations Level II: Learn tower management, adaptive climbing techniques, climbing rescues and more.  (Prerequisite: Foundations Level I class or permission of class instructors)

June 5-7 COPE:

$50.00 per person per training which covers food, lodging, facilities, training materials and staff.  Plan to arrive no sooner then 7pm for your 1st session

  • Meals are provided in the White Pine Program building
  • Lodging will be in the Gagner Bunkhouse in White Pine sub Camp
  • Bunk beds are provided you need to bring your own sleeping bag and toiletries.
